Every summer, McWane Ductile – Utah (MDU) holds a charity golf tournament. The event brings together employees, suppliers and contractors for a day of friendly competition and a shared goal, to raise money for local charities within the community.
This year, MDU raised a total of $18,000 which was split among the following charities:
Utah County Special Response Team
This team responds to critical wildfires across the Rocky Mountains and in the local community. They have conducted training at MDU in the past for confined space rescue operations and are the primary response unit for the MDU location in case of an emergency.
Community Action Services and Food Bank
This organization serves the community in many ways. In addition to providing essential items to those facing food insecurity in the community, they provide financial literacy courses and assist individuals in completing their high school equivalency.
Springville Rotary
This group is a community service organization dedicated to making a local impact trough volunteer efforts and charitable programs. They organize community events such as car shows and Easter egg hunts, provide holiday gift baskets to families in need and raise funds to support students pursuing higher education.
