McWane Ductile – Utah prides itself on its longevity as one of the area’s largest employers. In fact, the plant will celebrate its centennial year of operation in May, and an accolade by the Springville-Mapleton Chamber of Commerce gave the plant reason to celebrate early.
McWane Ductile – Utah was recently presented the Community Partner of the Year Award by the chamber, an honor intended to recognize dynamic companies and leaders that exemplify the tremendous spirit and capabilities of the area’s business community, involvement in the chamber and positive contributions to the community.
During the awards presentation, McWane Ductile – Utah was lauded for its commitment to service, leadership and support to improve the Springville-Mapleton area. Most notably, the plant was recognized for its million-dollar donation to expand and renovate the Springville amphitheater, a project that is currently underway. Among the numerous other community organizations supported by McWane Ductile – Utah in recent years include Hope4Utah, Springville Rotary, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Central Utah Veterans Home, Huntsman Cancer Foundation, Primary Children’s Cardiac ICU, Utah County Special Resources Team, and Community Action Services and Food Bank.
“On behalf of our more than 300 dedicated team members, we are incredibly proud to receive this recognition by the chamber,” said McWane Ductile – Utah General Manager, Jared Ellison. “This year marks a century since our operation first established roots in this area, and we celebrate this milestone by reaffirming our commitment to continue supporting the communities where our employees live and work.”
