Clow Canada and McWane, Inc. donate $1.1 million for Romero House expansion project

Clow Canada and McWane, Inc. are proud to have the opportunity to support the Romero House in Saint John by donating $1.1 Million for an expansion project.

Romero House has been a cornerstone of the community, providing daily hot meals, a clothing bank, emergency family assistance, outreach, chapel services, and life skills support.  Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Romero House served under 100 meals per day. Now, they are averaging over 400 meals daily, which has created significant space and logistical challenges.
This expansion is crucial to meet the growing needs of the community.

Rick Benoit, Vice President, McWane Canada, said "Today is a proud day for Romero House, our community, our over 500 employees across Canada, and over 6,000 employees across North America, and certainly for me.
Clow Canada (formerly T. McAvity and Sons) built a strong partnership with Romero House that started 12 years ago. We have provided money, equipment, and volunteer time to assist in their community outreach. Two years ago, I approached Evelyn McNulty, Executive Director, about a one-time larger donation from our company, and here we are today. A heartfelt thank you to the McWane Family for their continued commitment to giving back to the communities where our teams live and work."
