AB&I celebrated Manufacturing Day on November 14 by hosting local middle-school and high school students. The students took a tour of the foundry where they saw several critical processes used to make cast iron soil pipe and fittings. They also participated in hands-on projects which included measuring the actual metal castings. The students were able to see firsthand how much science and precision is needed in the manufacturing process.
These students are the future leaders and providing them with the chance to explore the opportunities that are available in manufacturing is important not only for the students, but for AB&I as well.
