Atlantic States held their inaugural “Cupola Blitz” on September 21, 2012. The purpose of the “blitz” was to improve housekeeping in the cupola area which results in a safer work environment. The blitz team included members from both the hourly and salaried teams.
As part of their clean-up, they removed clutter, obsolete hoses, spare parts and cleaned the area from top to bottom. They discovered that many hands make light work and they plan to make this housekeeping event a building block for the continued safety culture at Atlantic States.
